*“Attitude”

The attitude we have will make a significant difference in how successfully we deal with life situations. Quoting from Charles Swindoll:

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.”
This 15-20 minute presentation on “your” attitude will use related passages from the Bible. The presentation is suited for church services, nursing homes, and other group settings wanting a presentation on “attitude”.

*

“The Power of Forgiveness”

Being able to forgive has tremendous emotional, intellectual and moral rewards. It is a process that is learned and takes time to develop but will give a person freedom from anger and resentment for past grievance. It by no means is a sign of weakness or the acceptance of bad behavior of an offender. It is a symbol of strength and healthy assertiveness. The presentation will identify the steps to forgiveness and the benefits a person receives from being able to process forgiveness: (1) understanding your anger (2) giving up resentment toward the offender (3) and in time it might extend to offers of understanding, compassion, benevolence, and even love.

*

What Is The Cross You Carry?

This program relates to the power of forgiveness in our lives. We often will do things that upset the balance in our lives and possibly the lives of those around us that we love. We need the capacity to not only forgive others but to forgive ourselves. Understanding what it is that we need to forgive and being able to walk the path that will give us the compassion to forgive ourselves will help us move beyond repeating our mistakes.

*

“No" - A positive response that can save your sanity”

This program relates that there are times when we must have the strength to say “NO” to adding to our workload and commitments. What it takes to say “NO” and the strength people need to get through each day.

*

“Fruits of the Spirit: Love, Patience, and Faith”

This presentation will begin with the concept of love, move into the ability to perfect patience, and end with how faith ties it all together. Love really doesn’t have much meaning unless someone comes along to give it meaning. Patience helps us to seek the answers that will strengthen the bonds of our love. Understanding that in order to achieve it requires faith. All things are possible to keep your dreams alive for those who have faith.

*

“Commitment: Making the quality of our life directions come alive”

This presentation will convey the message regarding the importance of following through with the commitments that you make in life. The commitments we make place direction for our hopes and dreams. Regardless of what we elect to make our field of endeavor for life – it will be the commitment to excellence that will determine the quality of a person’s life. This presentation will be adapted according to the group’s dynamics.
