 Kansas State Council of ESA
WE WELCOME YOUR MEMBERSHIP IN ESA!
Anyone can join ESA and you do not necessarily have to affiliate with a chapter. We do have a number of communities that have chapters or if you would like to form an ESA chapter in your own area we can help you accomplish that as well. Please feel free to contact us with your questions about ESA. We are seeking good people who share our vision and mission to be of service.

Dear Chapter Presidents and Rush Chairman:
My message will be posted soon.
We hope you have thought about a way to spread the word about ESA and all it has to offer to new members. We also want you to think about reminding your current members why they joined and keep them feeling good about being members of this great organization.
Here are a few reminders if you do have new pledges for the year:
- Pledge lessens are available on the website www.esaks.org.
- Send in their state membership dues of$15 to the Kansas State Treasurer so they can be counted in membership and receive the News & Views.
- Kim Kummer, Kansas State President will reimburse the chapter for the pledge’s dues after she receives notice that they have been paid.
If you need any help please contact Angie at EMAIL

Kansas adds two new ESA chapters Lambda Pi and Kappa Chi

We added two new chapters to ESA in Kansas in April 2009: Kappa Chi, Great Bend and Lambda Pi, Salina. Featured here are the state officers chartering Lambda Pi of Salina April 19. Joy Thornbrugh, President of the KSC, reads the chartering. Lisa Modrow, President of Lambda Pi, is the first to sign the charter. The third picture (to the right) are members of Lambda Pi following their pledge ceremony and installation of officers.

I AM HERE TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS ABOUT JOINING ESA OR ANY MEMBERSHIP QUESTION YOU MIGHT HAVE!

How has ESA built the leader in me? Joan Bourn
"Epsilon Sigma Alpha provides a wealth of knowledge, for anyone who is interested in developing and making some changes in their life. Being a good mother, a good friend, a good wife, and good sister are all great attributes that we bring to our families; however, there lies deep within us the desire to strive for something more and ESA offers that to every member who is ready, willing and able to define herself in some other way. ESA did just that for me. I developed leadership skills in a way that I never thought possible."
"First I obtained the goal of state president and then on to becoming an International Council President, but more than that, I achieved great things in my job that lead to success in my employment."
"Secondly, I believe the knowledge gained in ESA, made me a better person, a better mother and a better friend. I know of no other organization that allows a person to be whatever they want to be and gives them the freedom to do what they want to do. Everyone needs to take advantage of all that ESA has to offer."
"All of the above, plus, the following will help all ESA members develop skills to help them achieve and be the best they can be. (1) Life long lessons (2) Enrich your ESA experience (3) Promote citizenship (4) Improve performance (5) Foster success in life (6) Improve physical and emotional health (7) Build leadership skills, self-confidence and Motivation (8) Build relationships (9) HAVE FUN!!!"
"ESA IS YOUR GIFT TO YOUR FUTURE!" "Enrichment! Improvement! Opportunity!"
