Sue GosselinSue Gosselin, Ways & Means Chairman 2011-2012: Joining me on the ways & means committee will be Margaret Herrick, Ann Lamon, Sue Peckham and Janice Parks this year. We will be raising money for the council operations.

Our theme this year is “Seasons of Gathering”. We will continue to sell our President Marsha’s charms, raffle items at some of the State Board meetings, have a Casino Night Friday night at State Convention, and a “Harvest of Gold” 50/50 drawing.

ticketsOur main project this year will be the “Harvest of Gold” 50/50 drawing which will begin August at our State Board meeting. The “Harvest of Gold” 50/50 drawing means 50% or all of the money raised goes into the Kansas State Ways and Means account and the other 50% is split between three lucky individuals who will have their names drawn at State Convention. The first winner receives 25% of the proceeds; the second winner receives 15% of the proceeds; and the third winner receives 10% of the proceeds. The 50/50 tickets are $5.00 each and you do not need to be present to win! Packets of tickets will be distributed to each chapter at our August State Board Meeting and if you need more tickets throughout the year contact Sue Gosselin, Margaret Herrick, Ann Lemon, Janice Parks, or Sue Peckham.

CONVENTION MIXER FUN FEST

You won't want to miss this fun Convention event Friday, May 4 in Hutchinson. We will begin the evening with a wonderful and delicious buffet, followed by the convention skit and a few moments with President Marsha. And then LET THE GAMES BEGIN! You will use your funny money to play the games and build your revenues and then purchase items at our auction with the money. So the better you are at the games the more funny money you will have to purchase the wonderful items we'll have for you to bid on. Funny money will be purchased and the proceeds will go to support the Kansas Council activities. We have a grand time planned for everyone. Don't miss the fun evening.

We encourage chapters to post their fund raising projects being held to support various activities of the Kansas State Council. Each activity has a contact provided in the event a person would like to take part in their fund raising activities. Chapters and/or Districts may feel free to place an ad here to promote their fund raising projects.
