Clara Ginn Honored by the Kansas State Council
as a "Dixie Palmer Lady"

Clara Ginn Honored as Kansas Dixie Palmer Lady of ESA

Beautiful PeopleThere are some people that you just know you can never surprise. But in those rare incidents that you do manage to pull one over on them the joy of that accomplishment is overwhelming for both the giver and the receiver. Such a surprise recently took place at the Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) Kansas State Convention in Olathe, Kansas, May 2, 2010.

Busy BeesMembers of ESA Kansas surprised and honored Clara Ginn by recognizing her as the latest Kansas Dixie Palmer Lady of ESA and the ESA Foundation for her many activities and accomplishments as a member of ESA. The Dixie Palmer Lady is an ESA Foundation Award that is presented to members who have distinguished themselves in the service to others. “Clara’s efforts are more fulfilling because she takes people to the top rather than arriving there by herself. This outstanding woman avoids positional leadership” ‘Verneene Forssberg, ESA International Council Educational Director said as she presented Clara this prestigious award.

Beautiful PeopleClara has been a member of ESA, Delta Chi chapter, Caldwell, Kansas for 39 years. She and husband Gary Ginn have celebrated 51 years of marriage and are blessed with 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Clara has held all chapter offices and been a part of numerous State and International offices and committees. She was asked once about the impact of ESA in her life and she said “ESA changed my life and gave me the confidence to step out and be something besides a wife and a mother.”

ESA has benefited greatly from Clara’s involvement, service and leadership. She is a very deserving recipient of this honored award that is given to a small group of ESA members. Congratulations Clara.

Our Clara

Just who is this person called Clara Ginn
She is the very best kind of a loving friend!

Always giving and always kind
And ever so often clear out of her mind.

She can make you laugh or make you cry
But you never ever wonder why.

She is the one on who you depend
For loyalty and devotion to the very end.

Today we want to let her know
Just how much she’s helped us grow.

Never seeking her own bright light
But helping others see the light.

Gently leading us along the way
The perfect member of ESA.

She is the one behind the scenes
Supporting your goals and feeding your dreams.

Clara there is so much that mere words cannot say,
So maybe you will know by our actions today.

As we present this Dixie Palmer Lady to you
We love and appreciate all that you do.

So all will know when they hear this spin.
How special is our lady named - Clara Ginn!
