WE WELCOME YOUR MEMBERSHIP IN ESA!

Anyone can join ESA and you do not necessarily have to affiliate with a chapter. We do have a number of communities that have chapters or if you would like to form an ESA chapter in your own area we can help you accomplish that as well. Please feel free to contact us with your questions about ESA. We are seeking good people who share our vision and mission to be of service.

"ESA can offer you friends, fellowship, and opportunity of service. Joys' theme is "ESA: Free to Be..." This means you can stretch your thinking, develop new ideas, and broaden your horizons. ESA offers more than a person can begin to imagine. You are "FREE TO BE" whatever your dreams are, and ESA can help you attain it. We would welcome you into our social circle to become all that you can be. If you have questions or are interested in joining ESA please contact me by using the form below. We are eager to hear from you."

How has ESA built the leader in me?
Joan Bourn

Joan Bourn"Epsilon Sigma Alpha provides a wealth of knowledge, for anyone who is interested in developing and making some changes in their life. Being a good mother, a good friend, a good wife, and good sister are all great attributes that we bring to our families; however, there lies deep within us the desire to strive for something more and ESA offers that to every member who is ready, willing and able to define herself in some other way. ESA did just that for me. I developed leadership skills in a way that I never thought possible."

"First I obtained the goal of state president and then on to becoming an International Council President, but more than that, I achieved great things in my job that lead to success in my employment."

"Secondly, I believe the knowledge gained in ESA, made me a better person, a better mother and a better friend. I know of no other organization that allows a person to be whatever they want to be and gives them the freedom to do what they want to do. Everyone needs to take advantage of all that ESA has to offer."

"All of the above, plus, the following will help all ESA members develop skills to help them achieve and be the best they can be. (1) Life long lessons (2) Enrich your ESA experience (3) Promote citizenship (4) Improve performance (5) Foster success in life (6) Improve physical and emotional health (7) Build leadership skills, self-confidence and Motivation (8) Build relationships (9) HAVE FUN!!!"

"ESA IS YOUR GIFT TO YOUR FUTURE!"
"Enrichment! Improvement! Opportunity!"

WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR YOUR
CHAPTER AND ESA?

  • BEE Excited!
What an exciting time when you first joined ESA. Share that excitement with a neighbor, a co-worker or someone you really don’t know, but would like to know better. Yes, ESA does need new members, but even more importantly young women in your community need ESA. Only through this organization will she realize the worth she can be to her community and her family. Someone gave You the opportunity, now it is your time to give that opportunity to someone else. Pledge a new member this year.
  • BEE Enthusiastic!
Let your enthusiasm be seen when you speak to someone about joining ESA. Tell them what they can gain through their participation. Don’t forget all the projects and good we do, but let them know about the fellowship, the laughter and good times, and the love we all share with one another while we are working together. Let them know that what they receive by being a member is based on what they give. This is a busy time for all women, especially those who are trying to balance work and family, but ESA will bring a new aspect to their efforts. They need time for themselves and ESA can and will provide new and meaningful relationships that we all need in order to cope with our world today.
  • BEE Encouraging!
Don’t forget to encourage one another. We all have down days, and a pat on the back, a smile, a kind word, or another kind gesture can make all the difference on how we cope with things that are going on around us. Think of kind things to say or do for your ESA Sisters. This is for new pledges, or members that have been in your chapter for years. Everyone needs to know that someone cares. That is second nature to a good ESA member.
  • BEE willing to share your ESA Experiences!!
Have a Rush Party, make sure that all persons present are made to feel welcome. Make it a fun event, one that everyone can participate. There are lots of ideas for Rush Parties and if you need some new ideas, let our committee know, and we will be glad to send them to you. Start Now! Gather names of prospective members. Don’t forget the new person on the block or in the neighborhood or the person who is experiencing the M-T Nest Syndrome. Maybe they did not feel like they had the time while their family was at home to take part in all you do. Ask them again. Do not ASSUME they are too busy or not interested. ESA is offering you the chance to share all that ESA is to YOU! Share ESA with someone TODAY! The Future of ESA is in Your Hands.

“Bee All You Can Bee in ESA”

The 2008-09 Membership Committee is: Clara Ginn, Mary Ann Johnson, Carla Steirwalt, & Marilyn Feldkamp. We are here to help you in any way we can. We are waiting to receive your new Pledge's name!
