| Zeta Phi Chapter |  Zeta Phi Chapter celebrated this year by being selected Kansas's Outstanding chapter for 2007-2008. Their accomplishments were: net growth in membership, participated in chapter, state and international philanthropic projects, provided educational programs to their membership, had attendance at all chapter, district and state functions, remained a chapter in good standing by paying all dues on time, they publicized their chapter well, and entered numerous competitions at state convention.
In attendance at state convention and picture here receiving the chapter's honor are Bonnie Templeton, Pat Upham, Carla Stierwalt, Charlotte Grelk, Judy White and Barb Smith. Zeta Phi members brought home several awards: Chapter ESA Foundation donations, 3rd place; Association of the Arts Winners for 2007-2008: Presidents Scrapbook made by Judy White, 2nd place; Charlotte Grelk, Needlework, quilting, First place; Three- dimensional Art Crazy Quilt Stocking, First place, First time Art Project, First Place, President's theme, First place; and Bonnie Templeton, President's theme, Award of Excellence and Scrapbooking, First place; and won the ESA writing contest for “What ESA Means to Me”, as a nine year member. Receiving the Educational Gold Link Award was Carla Stierwalt. Receiving service awards were Barbara Smith, 15 year member; and Charlotte Grelk, 10 year member. Charlotte Grelk also placed first in the Holiday Hike top fundraiser - $2,100.00 which was in support of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

The chapter has many of its members involved in state leadership roles. Bonnie Templeton was installed as the 2008-2009 Workshop Coordinator on the Kansas State Council Executive Board. The following members will hold board positions on the Kansas State Council Board for 2008-2009, Barb Smith, Care Connection/Hope for Hero’s Coordinator; Pat Upham, Sr. Director, Circle of Life; Carla Stierwalt, Membership Committee Member; and Charlotte Grelk, District J Chair.
