Sherry Marlow is a loving and caring person whom you can count on no matter how busy her life might be at the time. Sherry believes that God and family come first and that everything else is a blessing that enhances and completes her life. She has always been one to help others and decided to join Epsilon Sigma Alpha and Eta Rho in 1967. Sherry has enjoyed the philanthropic projects, public service, education and leadership development opportunities that have been available to her through ESA. She enjoys the friendship of her fellow sisters, their love, their laughter and sense of humor. Sherry is a sorority sister who is a gift to the heart and a friend to the spirit. She celebrates 50 years in ESA.
Stephani Luebbers, joined Alpha Omega, Scott City (and ESA ) in 2013 and is an outstanding asset to ESA. She has a little girl that also keeps her busy. Stephani is always ready and willing to help support her sisters and their projects. Her smile is the best part of her personality and ESA is VERY Lucky to have her in our group.
Kelly Whisennand - Alpha Phi - Elkhart has been a member of the Alpha Phi Chapter in Elkhart since 2008. Kelly leads by example. Kelly is always upbeat, supportive and resourceful. Kelly is a RN. She works at the Morton Country health care system and is currently the director of nurses for the care center. She has worked for the Health system for 10 years in various positions. She loves helping people, healthy and sick. She also severs on the Compass Behavioral Health Board for SW Kansas. Kelly and husband, Shannon, have one daughter and two beautiful grandbabies.
Ann Lamon - Eta Beta - Liberal has been a member of ESA for approximately 30 years and has contributed to ESA greatly in each of those years. She is always willing to start a new project and help out in any way she can. She has served on the chapter, District and State levels in many different leadership positions. Ann is always there with a smile and a helping hand. Ann brought many great ideas and project to her chapter over the years including Wendy’s-St. Jude fundraiser . She has headed up this project since its beginning, Ann is just a marvelous person who always has a smile and kind word for all and is loved by all that meet her. She is a retired reading teacher but is taking time to tutor two young children that need her help. She is an awesome gal and ESA is proud to have her as a dedicated member of ESA.
Margaret Herrick, Theta Rho Chapter on-line (formerly a member of Beta Beta, Andover) is one that works quietly in the background for over 20 years. She participates in all ESA projects and has taken on many aspects of chapter leadership for both Beta Beta and Theta Rho. Recently Margaret moved to Michigan (to be near her grandchildren) and became a member of Theta Rho chapter. This is the Kansas on-line chapter and she keep her connection with ESA in this way. Her compassion for our military was displayed by organizing honorary deployment dinners for the heroes and families at McConnell Air Force Base. Margaret is kind, loving and caring. She is a great mom and grandmother.
Linda Ball - Eta Theta Cheney is committed to ESA. She began her political career in 1981 on the Cheney City Council and currently serves as the Mayor. She served the people of Cheney for over 40 years as a hairdresser and continues to serve the residents of the Golden Age Home. Our community honored her as the 2012 Cheney Citizen of the Year. During her 30 plus years in ESA she has been holding leadership positions that have moved us forward. She works tirelessly, never complaining or asking for help.
Joni Hernandez - Alpha Phi - Elkhart has been a member since 2004. She is a member of the High Plains Health Care Foundation, Elkhart Wildcat Booster Club, Elkhart Chamber of Commerce, and Elkhart Middle School Site Council and ESA. She is a chapter leader and proud that our sorority Joni is involved in the chapter's major fundraisers. Giving scholarships to our Elkhart High School seniors each year and donating Elkhart Bucks at Christmas time to needy families are her favorite projects. She enjoys time with her family, traveling with her husband, visiting their son, going to movies and community service.
Carol Dechant - Alpha Zeta - Garden City has been a positive and helpful member and works in the Pallas Athene program. She had done a marvelous job working with the Emmaus House shelter. In the past, she has served her chapter in verious leadership positions. Her enthusiasm is contagious! Although she limits her participation to the home area she does what she can in the chapter. Like many ESA members Carol has a positive and peaceful spirit. Carol is so enjoyable to be around and a lot of fun! Carol is another sister in ESA that feeds our spirit of friendship !
Connie Stallbaumer - Beta Epsilon - Frankfort has been in ESA since 2000. Her commitment to the Warm Welcome Home project has made it possible for Beta Epsilon to donate over 1500 baby blankets to the community and the local hospital. Connie's dedication doesn't stop at making blankets for babies. She is involved with the local nursing homes to make life better for the seniors residing there. Her green thumb helps to plant flowers in the community parks. Connie is a "stepping up" member in Frankfort and a definite asset to her chapter and ESA. She is active in the Pallas Athene program.
Iretta Drechler - Delta Epsilon - Wichita joined ESA in 1983 while living in Clinton, OK. Since coming to Wichita and joining Delta Epsilon she continuously works for the goals of ESA through every aspect. Over the years, Iretta has held all chapter offices and served on several district and state committees. She has been active in the Pallas Athene program earning the 4th Degree. Her contributions and enthusiasm has been a big part of our success and helping ESA to grow. Iretta and her husband, Bob, are retired and enjoy traveling, shopping, family and church activities.

Roe Stickland - Chi Epsilon - Wichita
Roe has been a member of Chi Epsilon since 2003. She has earned her First Pearl and active in the Pallas Athene Program. She is willing to help on all our chapter projects and brings joy to our chapter , state and District levels of participation. Roe is a mother and grandmother. She currently works at the Alzheimer’s office in Wichita. She is a great asset to Chi Epsilon and ESA. Anita Gottsponer, Alpha Zeta, Garden City has been a member of Alpha Zeta since 2007. Her chapter describes her as "phenomenal" and a "great leader". The spark in her has driven fellow members to embark on the largest fundraising event the chapter has ever had, which will also increase awareness of Alpha Zeta and ESA in the Garden City area. Anita is very dedicated and puts forth many hours of great work in the community. Anita is a wonderful role model and her love for our members shows in everything she does for ESA.
Pat Bomholt has been a member of Eta Theta, Cheney chapter for over 40 years. Pat has received her 4th Degree Pallas Athene. Pat is very diligent in seeing that cards are sent to the residents of our local nursing home taking time to include a personal note in the cards. Besides her work with ESA and Eta Theta, Pat is an active member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon. She is also Secretary –Treasurer of Cheney Door Co., Inc., her family owned business and is actively employed with the business. Pat has two grown children and 3 grandchildren. Pat loves to travel and spend time with “ESA friends”
Joyce Jones – Eta Theta – Cheney
has been a member of the Eta Theta chapter for over 50 years. During her 50 years as a member she has held every office and has served on almost every committee. She has attended over 35 state conventions and 4 IC conventions. Her love for ESA is apparent in the number of women she has pledged to Eta Theta. She is the model grandmother to her eight grandchildren. She showers them with love, affection and attention, as any wonderful grandmother will do, and supports them in all of their activities. Joyce is well known throughout her community and ESA. Ila Morrill - Gamma Lambda - Manhattan joined the chapter in 1981. Her “thing” is family history. Quoting Ila, “What family history researchers do - matters. They are preserving their stories. They are helping individuals to not be forgotten.” She loves her family: Brent, her husband, 3 children, and of course her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She keeps the chapter records so that the chapter and sisters receive rewards they’ve earned. There is something for everyone in ESA!
Rose Lee - Delta Eta - Elkhart has been an outstanding sister in Delta Eta for 63 years by working very hard to help the chapter in every way. She has always opened her home to the chapter for meetings, dinners, breakfast, and everything else with a, “Sure we can do that.” She has helped build many floats over the years for Elkhart celebrations. Rose is involved in community service with dedication and even involves her husband Henry. Rose has worked with the blood mobile for years, helping cook and serve the donors. When she wasn’t working on ESA she raised four children, and taught school for 39 years. Rose has helped the Elkhart community in most every way and many times in the name of ESA
Mary Ann Johnson - Alpha Zeta - Garden City is an outstanding leader in Kansas ESA and recently began to expand her leadership talents to the multi-state level of ESA. Her leadership is invaluable on all levels of ESA and her quiet and spiritual nature helps others around her stay grounded in what is important. Mary Ann is great at both connecting with people and connecting people together. When ESA sisters are in need, she is there to help them and she communicates their needs with others. She understands the ESA spirit. She has stepped up to the plate and makes a positive impact locally and beyond. She is the ESA cheerleader, a beautiful person, friend and sister.
Carrie Nuss – Theta Pi - Jetmore joined Theta Pi in 2013 and has earned her First Pearl. She is active in the Pallas Athene program which means she is highly involved in ESA. Carrie is always willing and enthusiastic to work on any project that Theta Pi is involved in. In addition, her contagious smile and humor makes our projects a lot of fun to work with her. Carrie is also very creative and lends this creativity to our projects. Carrie works outside the home full time, helps to take care of family members, and most important of all she has created a loving home for her husband and three daughters.
Kay Grissom – Delta Epsilon - Rose Hill pledged in 2009 and has her First Pearl and 2nd Degree Pallas Athene. She participates in activities at chapter, district and state level. She has served as Delta Epsilon in chapter leadership in many ways. Kay is a very caring and giving person and truly exemplifies the qualities all ESA sisters strive for. She enjoys reading, theater and traveling.

Delta Delta's (Ulysses), Rachel Gallegos, has been a loyal member of ESA. She has been a member for a very short time, and has proved to be an invaluable asset to our organization. This member stepped up to the plate and took on the Adopt-A-Child project, for the chapter, and has done a wonderful job. We are also proud of her very supporting husband, Estaban. He has been a huge support for Rachel and is a great member's husband!
Angela Syng. Alpha Zeta, Garden City is an outstanding member of ESA. First is her wonderful upbeat personality! Hard work and the insight that she has given in organizing fundraiser projects is invaluable. ( Especially the “Get Your Glow On Alpha Zeta 5K Walk/Run”) This event will raise money for Family Crisis Services in Garden City and St. Jude. Angela actively serves the chapter with her leadership in the offices and committee positions . Angela is kind, organized and she has done a wonderful job of serving ESA by supporting our causes and our members with lots of fun.
Delores Currier has been active in Delta Delta, Ulysses as well as the district, and state levels of ESA for over 40 years. She is the keeper of much of the chapter’s history and has served this chapter in its offices and committees for many years. Delores is a tireless community volunteer & she benefits many groups with her willingness to volunteer her time, talents and energy. She serves on numerous boards and/or committees and holds an office in more than one organization. She is committed to doing what is right and serving to the best of her ability. Delores exemplifies giving back to her community in many ways.
Debi Jones, a 18 year member of Eta Theta Cheney chapter has served all offices She has received her First Pearl Award and is active in the Pallas Athene program. Debi is very busy with her job as Chief Financial Officer for AirXcel of Wichita, Ks. She spends a lot of time traveling for her job but still finds time to dedicate to her family and her responsibilities with Eta Theta. Recently nominated one of the top Chief Financial Officers by the Wichita Business Journal. Debi is a member of the Cheney United Methodist Church and serves on the Cheney High School Site Council. Debi loves the outdoors and spending time with her family at their cabin in Arkansas. She and her husband Mark have two children, Cori and Brandon. Debi became interested in ESA through her mother-in-law, Joyce Jones.
Jackie Engelken - Epsilon Eta - Topeka has nurtured Epsilon Eta through a decade of “life challenges”. A multitude of circumstances reduced membership from dozens down to three. Jackie kept the group together against all odds, and never gave up on the growth she knew would come. In addition, Jackie was a major supporter in the establishment and maintenance of the Epsilon Eta Linda Cronin Memorial Scholarship honoring a member who passed away. Jackie is active in all levels of ESA and has attended International Convention a number of times. She is a wealth of information and tradition.
Karen Stinson - Delta Delta - Ulysses has been an enthusiastic, hardworking, active member of ESA for over 30 years. She’s displayed leadership at local, district and state levels attending board meetings, state conventions, and International conventions and conducted state leadership seminars. She’s been a fourth grade teacher in Ulysses for over 30 years and sponsors Odyssey of the Mind teams on her own time. She’s never missed a state convention since she started attending. Her innovative ideas and dedication exemplifies ESA
Gayle Hayter - Chi Epsilon - Wichita is one of those unforgettable personalities in ESA. Active in all aspects of ESA and interested in developing strong programs that our organization promotes and supports makes Gayle a giver. She is a person with a large sense of humor that gives credit to others every step of the way. She always thinks of the little special things to remember and do for each sister. Gayle encourages others to try new things as she helps them strive toward becoming the best each one of us can be. She believes in ESA and gives wholeheartedly to her family, sisters and their extended families and every project in which we participate. Gayle is simply the BEST of what ESA is all about!
Charmaine Nichols - Eta Phi - Wichita is a long time member of ESA that has given her leadership talents to all levels of Kansas ESA. Charmaine has been very active in the activities of her District to serve on the St. Jude Radiothon, Goodwill Industries projects and Easter Seals. Her work on the Festival of Trees to raise money for charity has been a labor of love for her since its beginning. Charmaine volunteers at Wesley Medical Center, Botanical Gardens, NW Lions Club and Wichita Rose Society. She has been an active and dedicated member of ESA for many years.
Rowena Underwood – Beta Beta - Rose Hill radiates honor truthfulness and friendliness. She will be right there to help when you need it. She has been in ESA for around 20 years and has earned her 4th Degree. Rowena is involved with Heartspring and other philanthropic activities. She has accumulated many hours and miles volunteering for Hospice and for Beta Beta. Like many ESA members, Rowena has "become" a leader among us. Her laughter is contagious.
